Patbro Textiles ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and our showrooms, why we collect it and how we protect it, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
Who is responsible
Patbro Textiles is the responsible party for the personal information described here. Our showrooms are in Johannesburg and Cape Town. You can contact us about privacy at info@patbro.co.za.
What we collect
- Quote requests and messages: your name, business name (optional), contact number, email address, city, the showroom you choose, the fabrics and quantities on your quote list, the type of customer you are (optional), and any files you attach such as reference images, order lists or tech packs.
- Newsletter: your email address and the date you subscribed.
- Your quote list: the fabrics you add are stored in your own browser (local storage) until you send or clear the list. We do not see it until you send a request.
- Technical information: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and to keep the site running.
Why we use it
- To prepare and send the quote you asked for, and to follow up on it.
- To answer your messages and arrange collection or delivery.
- To tell you about new prints, only if you subscribed. Every email lets you unsubscribe.
- To protect the website against spam and abuse.
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
Who sees it
Your request is sent to the Patbro showroom you choose and stored securely in our website's admin area. Attached files are kept in a private folder that cannot be opened from the internet. We share information only with service providers who help us run the website and email (such as our hosting provider), and when the law requires it.
Maps, Instagram and WhatsApp
Showroom maps are loaded from Google Maps only when you press "Load the map". Links to Instagram and WhatsApp open those services, which are run by Meta under their own privacy policies.
How long we keep it
We keep quote requests and messages for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any order that follows, and to meet our legal and tax record-keeping duties. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to its use for direct marketing, and withdraw consent at any time. Email info@patbro.co.za with your request. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send banking details or ID documents through the website forms.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
