Family-run Patbro Textiles was established in 1946 in Johannesburg's iconic Commissioner Street. It has grown into one of the most distinguished wholesalers of basic, bridal, catering, fashion and uniform and corporate-wear fabric in the country.
The wholesale textile industry is defined by change. Seasons change and trends come and go, but our business philosophy has stayed the same: to give the retail market the highest quality fabric at the most affordable prices.
Our fabric is hand-picked from suppliers in India, Korea, Thailand, the United Kingdom, Indonesia, Japan, Taiwan and China. We supply some of South Africa's top fashion designers, leading catering firms and retailers across the country, with embroideries, denim, ramie, printed and plain satin, silk, taffeta, organza, tulle, cotton, stretch cotton, linen, chiffon, lace, school wear, corporate wear, pongee and taffeta linings.

If basic, everyday fabric is what you are looking for, we have an extensive range, and hundreds of designs and colours of numerous ranges, including cotton, taffeta, denim, nylon, satin, rayon and polyester. We are well equipped to meet large orders, and all orders are met quickly to ensure a fast and efficient turnaround time.
Our imported range of bridal fabric is sure to dazzle even the fussiest of brides. We have exquisite silks, bridal satin, chiffon, lace, tulle and hand-beaded fabric, which we supply to the country's leading bridal boutiques. Our Swarovski agent can add the extra glamour and sparkle.
We supply some of the biggest catering firms with all their fabric requirements, including drapery, tablecloths and napkins, as well as slip covers for chairs. For function decor we carry lamé, velour, crushed organza, taffeta, linings and stretch fabric in a range of colours.
Our designer fashion fabrics appear in top fashion boutiques across the country, and have graced the catwalks at SA Fashion Week. We keep a keen eye on international trends, designs and colours: silk, wool, linen, denim, poly viscose, lycra, ITY, spandex, jersey knits, shirting, stretch cotton and linen.
